The Shepherds Retreat
The Shepherds Retreat is a luxury shepherds hut located on a family farm at the heart of the quaint village of Patrington, East Yorkshire. Set within a 13 acre pasture surrounded by beautiful countryside and the resident flock of sheep at our family farm.
The hut is a self contained hideaway, perfect for couples or small families with up to two under 12's. It comprises a fully fitted kitchen, dining/lounge with log burner, bathroom, bedroom and a wood fired hot tub. The hut offers everything you could need for the perfect break, including uninterrupted views over the East Yorkshire countryside.
Whether you want to relax and unwind, cycle, walk or explore, we have it all.
The village of Patrington boasts countless amenities on the doorstep, from butchers, bakers, shops and pubs. The popular beach resort of Withernsea is only 4 miles away, and Spurn Point Nature Reserve can be reached in less than 10 miles.
About Us
welcome to our home
We are passionate about where we live and think it is an amazing place to stay. We love to explore the East Yorkshire countryside with our son Hugo and Salvador, our black Labrador. It was on one of our many walks that we decided to buy a shepherds hut so we could share this wonderful part of the world with others.

The Shepherds Retreat is based on our family farm so we will be available throughout your stay if needed. You will have all the privacy you need, but safe in the knowledge that we can be there for you within minutes if required. We only have the one hut so you will not need to share the amazing sunsets with anyone else.
​
Our family are arable and livestock farmers, farming a mixture of Oil Seed Rape, Wheat and Barley. Our produce is supplied into the food industry and is also used to feed our livestock. The pigs and cattle are based a few miles down the road, but there is a flock of sheep which graze on the grass field that surrounds The Shepherds Retreat as well as our resident hens.
